Skate 4

EA Announces Skate 4 Sign-Up For Interested Users

Electronic Arts informed Skate fans on Thursday that Skate 4 is still “still being worked on” and that players may sign up for a chance to play the upcoming Skate game early in order to give input on its progress.

A “pre-pre-pre-alpha” glimpse at the new Skate was also given by EA on YouTube, showcasing new features and gameplay. Despite the fact that these playtests will be restricted, invite-only, and players will not be allowed to upload videos, screenshots, or live streams of what they play, EA claims that Skate enthusiasts may participate and offer feedback by playing “early versions of the game.”

Skate 4 Is Still Far From Being Released

There are further specifics regarding the playtesting program on a FAQ on the EA website. After a protracted campaign in which followers of the brand inundated EA’s social media platforms with the #skate4 hashtag in an effort to persuade the publisher to resurrect the skateboarding series, a new Skate game was officially confirmed in 2020. EA revealed the team behind the next Skate in 2021, a firm known as Full Circle.

Daniel McCulloch, a former general manager of Xbox Live at Microsoft, and Chris “Cuz” Parry and Deran Chun serve as Full Circle’s “creative leadership.” Skate 3, which was published in 2010, was the most current Skate game. The series was initially created by the Vancouver-based Black Box studio of EA. In 2013, EA Canada acquired that team, and Black Box went out of business. Although it appears to be years away, EA is letting fans test out the new Skate in private play sessions.

We have not heard much about Skate 4 recently, at least not publicly. Earlier footage from April emerged online, although it was just 30 seconds long.
