iMessage Considered To Hurt Apple More On Android Rather Than Assisting

The blue bubbles of iMessage are considered a huge barrier by Apple. This is mainly because this prevents users to switch to Android. As a result, iMessage has failed to make an appearance on the operating systems in mobile of Google.

Epic Games was recently involved in a legal dispute with Apple and these details were reported through a court filing. The details of the service were revealed through emails and depositions of several employees of this iPhone manufacturer that also included a few high-ranking executives.

Pitfalls Of iMessage For Apple

Epic has stated that Apple is consciously trying to redirect the customers towards their ecosystem of several devices that included the messaging service which an essential service. They have also claimed that Eddy Cue, the senior Vice-President of Apple of the Internet Services & Software, along with Craig Federighi, the Senior Vice-President of the software engineering, and Phil Schiller, Apple Fellow, had cited similar comments.

One of the anonymous former employees of Apple has revealed that the most difficult factor behind completely leaving the app universe of Apple is iMessage that poses as a serious lock-in application.

Schiller has responded by stating that it is indeed quite unhelpful for Apple to move iMessage services to Android. In addition, this move will hurt Apple more instead of helping the company.

Federighi has informed that the service will merely act to remove specific obstacles to the entire family before providing Android phones to kids. Epic filing has shown that Apple had seriously considered not developing iMessage in 2013 on Android.

Epic has also cited several other services that contribute to the lock-in of apps including FaceTime, the video chat service.
